Our journey
began 14 years ago with Dobbie, our Bull Mastiff’s mate. Our dogs are family, not just pets. When I stopped working, a fellow breeder encouraged me to start BetterCavs Kennels. We’ve been dedicated to providing individualized care and a loving environment for our dogs ever since. Each day, their happiness and well-being are our top priorities.

Living in town with its noises has trained our puppies not to react to such sounds. Our half-acre property provides ample space for them to play and explore in mini enrichment areas, ideal for our small numbers.
Raising these adorable puppies and watching their funny, inquisitive nature is incredibly rewarding.

Our puppies are calm, confident, playful, and cuddly. surrounded by our older family members, grandchildren, other dogs, and a couple of cats, ensuring they are well-adjusted and sociable. They are lovingly handled daily from birth and are accustomed to the sounds of a busy household.
Our breeding program emphasizes excellent health, outstanding temperament, and beautiful appearance. We pride ourselves on having a top-tier breeding and socialisation program called Puppy Culture.
Through the Puppy Culture Program, we start basic toilet training early and provide neurological stimulation amongst other things, which results in dogs with better stress tolerance, health, and disease resistance. We also implement a thorough socialization and noise desensitization plan.
My girls, aged between 2 to 4 years, have single coats and require minimal grooming, making them very low maintenance. The pups have so far exhibited similar traits. The rubies develop a stunning deep red colour as they mature.
